can cause the abrasive belt to slip off the contact roller.

▶ Press the rear section of the on/off switch.
➥ The on/off switch jumps into the off position and the motor stops.

Care and maintenance of the tool
Carefully remove any dirt that may be adhering to parts.
Remove the dust filter and clean it and the air vents carefully, using a dry brush.
Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
these can attack the plastic parts.

Keep the battery free from oil and grease.

Maintenance
Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals and make sure that they all
function correctly.
Do not operate the product if signs of damage are found or if parts malfunction. Have it repaired
immediately by Hilti Service.
After cleaning and maintenance, fit all guards or protective devices and check that they function correctly.

Changing the drive roller
A worn drive roller can be replaced.
1. Remove the abrasive belt. → page 18
2. Remove the securing screws from the drive roller. If necessary, press and hold down the spindle lock
button.
3. Pull the drive roller off the spindle.
4. Slip the new drive roller on to the spindle.
5. Insert the securing screws and tighten them to the specified torque. If necessary, press and hold down
the spindle lock button.
