TOOLS REQUIRED
4 and 5mm A/F ALLEN KEY.
8mm SOCKET AND WRENCH.
5mm DRILL BIT AND DRILL.
THREAD LOCK.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Secure the bike on side or centre stand.
2. Remove two hex headed bolts that hold the brake cable clamps in place on the swing-
arm (arrowed B and C on hugger picture).
3. Remove the chain guard (three button headed bolts, two as shown in top picture and one
located through the rubber chain/swing-arm wear pad).
4. Clean the swing-arm to allow the Velcro pads to adhere properly.
5. Place the two spacers over the holes that where used to secure the brake cable clamps
in position (it helps to use a small amount of grease to hold these in position).
6. Peel off the Velcro backing on the pre-positioned Velcro pads.
7. Place the hugger into position (pressing firmly to allow the Velcro pads to adhere).
8. Apply thread lock on the new button head bolts and re-fit them through the brake cable
clamps to the original holes, ensure the brake pipe brackets are in their original position,
do not tighten the bolts at this point.
9. Refit the chain guard over the hugger mounting arms using the original three bolts.
10. Check the gap between the hugger and tyre are even on both sides and that there is
adequate clearance between tyre and hugger, tighten all bolts.
11. Position the chain guard so it covers the chain (it may be slightly out of position due to
the mounting of the hugger).
12. If required hold the chain guard in position and drill a 5mm hole through the chain-guard
and hugger and secure using the plastic screw rivet in the position of the hole arrowed A
in hugger picture.
13. Tighten all bolts.
