S tep 2 : S tarting w ith t he d river's s ide, o pen b oth d oors a nd h old t he N erf-­‐Step t o t he
underside o f t he v ehicle. T he o val h oles i n t he N erf-­‐Step b racket w ill a lign w ith t he f actory
holes o n t he b ottom p inch w eld o f t he t ruck. N ot a ll h oles i n t he p inch-­‐weld w ill b e u sed.
Step 3 : L ocate t he h oles f or t he c lips w here i t l ines u p w ith t he u pper h oles i n t he b racket.
Place c lips i nto p osition.
Step 4 : T here a re ½ " r ound u pper m ounting h oles o n S uperduty b rackets. P lace t he b olts f or
the c lips i n t hese h oles a nd f inger t ighten.
Step 5 : U sing t he 3 /8" x 1 ½ " c arriage b olts p rovided, i nsert f rom t he o utside a nd a ttach t he
flat w asher a nd n ut. L eave l oose t hough t he o val h ole i n t he b kt. O nce a ll s ix b olts h ave b een
inserted, h old t he f ont o f t he N erf-­‐Step f irmly a gainst t he b ody a nd t ighten t he f ront b olt. N ow
move t o t he r ear o f t he N erf-­‐Step a nd h old t he s tep l evel s o t he g ap i s e ven a long t he e ntire
Nerf-­‐Step, a nd t ighten t he r ear b olt. Y ou m ay t hen t ighten a ll t he r emaining b olts @ 1 8-­‐22 l bs.
