9. Installation with NANOCOLOR

1. The pump head is not fastened in place yet upon delivery of the NANOCOLOR
Flip the lever on the back end of the peristaltic pump towards the front before using the
device.
2. Place the NANOCOLOR
3. Connect the sipper module to one of the two USB A interfaces on the photometer using
the connecting cable provided.
4. Remove the cover from the cuvette slot of the NANOCOLOR
VIS II.
5. Place the desired flow cuvette in the cuvette slot of the photometer. Clean the cuvette
thoroughly with a lint-free cloth before inserting it in the slot.
6. Cut a max. 40 cm long piece from the hose provided and use it to connect the hose
adapter to the inlet nozzle of the flow cuvette.
7. Cut a max. 40 cm long piece from the hose provided and use it to connect the outlet nozzle
of the flow cuvette to the input of the peristaltic pump.
8. Connect a part of the remaining hose to the output of the peristaltic pump and place the
other end in a suitable waste container.
9. Activate the sipper module on the spectrophotometer (section 10.1)

Caution: When taking measurements in the wavelength range of 190 nm–340 nm,
place the special cuvette slot cover on the NANOCOLOR
!
Caution: Make sure that the hoses are not pinched. The pump volume of the setup
can be optimized by shortening the hoses.

Caution: The thin hoses are not suited for the direct connection to cuvettes or the
Sipper module. Please use the reducers and a short part oft he thick hose for con-
nection.
