2 - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Some i n stal l a ti o n systems requi r e the openi n g and removal of the metal gri l l e panel .
2.1 - Instructions for opening and removing the metal grille panel
To open the gri l l e panel, press i n wardl y on the two sl i d er catches at each si d e of the gri l l e panel and the gri l l e wi l l pi v ot down.
To remove the metal gri l l e, pul l forward on the ri g ht hand si d e so that the hinge pi n on the back of the gri l l e wi l l be rel e ased from the sl o t
i n the si d e of the casi n g.
2.2 - Wall cabinet fixing
a - Predri l l e d wal l cabi n et: fi x the hood onto the wal l cabi n et base panel usi n g the four screws 4.2 x 45 mm (suppl i e d with the fixi n g kit).
It i s not necessary to open the metal gri l l e .
b - No predri l l e d wal l cabi n et:
b.1 - If the hood i s provi d ed with a paper fixi n g templ a te, fol l o w the i n structi o ns.
b.2 - If the hood i s not provi d ed wi t h a paper fi x i n g templ a te, positi o n the hood on the wal l cabi n et base panel and pi l o t dri l l the 3.5 x 16
mm screws (not suppl i e d with the fixi n g ki t ) from the i n si d e onto the wood.
2.3 - Wall mounting
a - Dri l l two Ø 8 mm hol e s on the wal l usi n g the paper templ a te, i n sert two rawl pl u gs and two 4.2 x 44,4 mm screws l e avi n g 5 mm un-
ti g htened. Open the metal gri l l e panel , hook the hood on and ful l y ti g hten the screws.
b - If the hood is not provi d ed wi t h a paper fixi n g templ a te, dri l l two Ø 8 mm hol e s (see draw.), i n sert the pl u gs and screws, proceedi n g as
di r ected under paragraph a.
c - For wal l mounti n g usi n g wal l b rackets (opti o nal ) , foll o w the i n structi o ns of the fi x i n g templ a te.
d - Pay attenti o n to the safety regul a ti o n of poi n t 1.6.
2.4 - Choice of operating mode
a - Evacuati o n mode
To check that the hood is set up for evacuati o n, open the gri l l e panel and make sure that the conversi o n l e ver or the change-over knob
on the centri f ugal unit is i n the DUCTING positi o n. The charcoal fi l ter is not requi r ed.
For ducti n g to the outsi d e, the hood i s suppl i e d wi t h a rear and top outl e t. A fl a nge spigot of 100 mm di a meter (120 mm i n certai n mod-
el s ) i s usual l y fitted on the top outl e t and a bl a nki n g pl u g on the rear outl e t. If you choose to duct the hood from the rear of the casi n g,
you shoul d i n vert the positi o n of the fl a nge and of the bl a nki n g pl u g. Pay attenti o n to the safety regul a tion 1.1.
b - Internal reci r cul a ti o n mode
To check that the hood is set up for recycl i n g, open the gri l l e panel and make sure that the conversi o n l e ver or the change-over knob
on the centri f ugal unit is i n the RECYCLING posi t i o n.
The charcoal fi l t er is to be fi t ted. To fit the charcoal fil t er, support the fil t er with one hand and turn the thumb screw through the centre of
the charcoal fi l ter. If the fi l ter i s of the i n terl o cki n g type, turn the fi l ter cl o ckwise. The hood can remai n connected to the outsi d e.
2.5 - Electrical connection and working test
1 - The safety measures 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 of paragraph 1 are to be strictl y observed.
2 - Once the el e ctrical connecti o n has been compl e ted, check that the worktop i l l u mi n ati o n, motor and speeds work properl y .
