Maintenance
The water separator as such does not
require any maintenance.
But the electronic condensate drain must be
serviced regularly according to the specifi -
cations in the respective operating instruc-
tions. Always heed the stipulated service
intervals. Proper operation of the water
separator cannot be warranted in case of
non-compliance.
Opening the body
You may have to open the body of the water
separator if the pressure vessel must be
inspected or cleaned.
Hazard due to a sudden release of
pressure!
Depressurise the water separator
before carrying out any work on it!
A sudden escape of pressure may
cause serious injuries.
– Block the compressed air supply to the
water separator.
– Depressurise the water separator.
– Give the lower body a full turn in clock-
wise direction (Figure 3) and take it off
downwards (Figure 4).
– Take the separator cartridge out.

Closing the body
– Replace the seals on the body (Figure 5)
and separator cartridge (Figure 6).
– Reinsert the separator cartridge. The lugs
fi t the recesses in the body exactly and
ensure the correct seat of the separator
cartridge (Figure 6).
– Apply a thin coat of grease on the thread
of the body.
– Align the body vertically below the upper
part (Figure 7) and give it a full turn to
fasten it (Figure 8).
– Open the supply line to the water separa-
tor.
– Check the water separator for tightness.
Remedy for malfunctions
Poor separation result
A poor separation result can be due to
condensate drain malfunctions. Heed the
operating instructions for the condensate
drain in use if applicable.
