OP 1404
VIBRATION GLOW PLUG REMOVAL KIT 1/4"
AIR SUPPLY SETUP AND CONNECTING
1. For a better functioning, the incorporation of a regulator, oiler and filter in the network, in the air intake
line, is recommended.
2. If you do not use an automatic lubrication system, add a few drops of pneumatic oil to the air
connection before using the tool. Add more after each hour of constant use.
3. Do not exceed the maximum air pressure of 90 PSI/6.2 bar or that indicated on the tool nameplate.
LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE
Lubricate the tool daily with a good quality pneumatic tool oil. If no air line grease nipple is used, pass a
teaspoon of oil through the tool. The oil can be injected into the air inlet of the tool, or into the pipe at the
connection closest to the air supply. Once the oil is inserted, operate the tool. Rustproof oil is acceptable
for pneumatic tools.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Use the accessories recommended by CLAS. Check the position of the reversing mechanism before using
the tool to determine the direction of rotation when using it. Use only sockets and impact accessories.
Do not use ratchet bushings or associated accessories. Check the drive end of the tool to ensure that the
socket holder is working properly. Also check that the sleeves and drive ends are not excessively worn,
which could allow the sleeve to come loose during rotation. Connections requiring a specific torque must
be checked with a torque meter after assembly using an impact wrench.
TIGHTENING & LOOSENING
• TIGHTENING : Make sure that the nut or bolt you use to tighten the tool can withstand the nominal torque.
Tighten the nut as much as possible by hand. Place the socket on the nut. Push the reverse valve forward
so that it protrudes from the front of the housing. Pull the trigger to start the tool.
• LOOSENING : Attach the correct socket size to the anvil. Set the compressor pressure regulator to 90PSI.
Connect the tool to the air compressor hose. If a leak is detected, disconnect the air hose and secure it
properly before using it. Place the sleeve on the nut to loosen it. Hold the tool firmly.
