Disposal:
Old electrical equipment must be disposed of at local collection points, and should not be
disposed of as normal household waste.
Installation:
Before installation, the connection cables must be disconnected from the power supply and
secured against being switched on again. This product may only be installed by a qualified
electrician.
The built-in spotlight is suitable for direct attachment on normally flammable surfaces. The
built-in spotlight must never be covered by heat-insulating covers or similar materials.
Determine the point of installation. Note that the minimum distance from the surface to be
illuminated must be 0.8 m.
Unpack the individual parts and check for completeness.
Mark the intended position of the built-in spotlight and drill the opening to the diameter
required for the spotlight. Install the spotlight with the pre-tensioned springs first into the
opening. Ensure that these are firmly attached to the undersurface.
When laying the cable, ensure that it is not subject to any tensile or torsion forces. Do not kink
the cable. Output cables should be separately and away from other cables. It is recommended
that the cable is laid with a tension-relief device.
On completion of the installation work, connect the spotlight to the power supply.
The type designation plate on the built-in spotlight must not be removed.
Changing the bulb:
The use of other types of bulb can result in overheating.
Disconnect from the power supply before changing the bulb.
If the bulb is to be changed immediately after failure, first allow enough time for the bulb to
cool down.
Carefully remove the clamping ring from the spotlight. Remove the old bulb carefully from the
socket. Insert the new bulb carefully into the socket. Do not use force or excessive pressure.
Check the proper seating of the bulb in the socket.
