The following procedure should be taken:
• Let the appliance cool down properly.
• Fill the reservoir with cold water.
• Add a descaling agent to the water in the ratio indicated on the packaging.
• Put a paper filter in the filter holder. Do not forget to place the can under the filter.
• Switch on the appliance.
• After approximately 2 cups of water have passed through the appliance, turn it off and leave for
half an hour to allow the descaling agent to work.
• Turn the appliance on again. When all the water with descaling agent has passed through, run
clean water through the appliance three times to remove all traces of the descaling agent.
N.B.: Allow the machine to cool down for about three minutes after each rinse-through. The
guarantee will be invalid if the appliance is damaged by lime scale.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE=NEUTRAL, BROWN=LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW=EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
THE GREEN-YELLOW WIRE should be connected to the earth terminal of a three pin plug
marked with the letter E or
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted.
