Congratulations on
your new chest
freezer
Note that these instructions apply to sev-
eral models of chest freezers and therefo-
re the equipment described can vary.
WARNING
Old refrigerators and freezers are often
fitted with complicated latches that can
only be opened from the outside. If you
have an old unit like this stored away
somewhere, or if you scrap it, remember
to destroy the lock first to prevent
children from being exposed to dan-
ger by getting locked inside the unit.
Note! Please observe the environmental
rules on disposal. See "Disposal" in
these instructions.
Before you begin
using your freezer
Read the sections on setting up and start-
ing up & temperature control, as well as
the section on electrical connection, before
using the freezer.
Check to make sure that the freezer was
not damaged when delivered. Transport
damage must be reported to the supplier
before the freezer is used.
WARNING
This chest freezer contains hydrocarbo-
nates. During transport, and when in-
stalling the freezer, it is important to
avoid damaging its cooling circuit. In the
event of damage, avoid the use of naked
flame and make sure the room is well
ventilated.
If the freezer is damaged it must not be
connected to mains voltage. If you are in
doubt, please contact your supplier.

Setting up
For safety and operational reasons the
freezer should not be set up outdoors, but
rather in a dry room with adequate air cir-
culation.
Important!
It is important that air be able to circulate
freely under and around the freezer to
remove heat emitted from the sides of the
freezer and its compressor.
Install the freezer with the clearance
shown on the sketch.
The air gap between the bottom of the
freezer and the floor should be at least 15
mm. On a firm floor the plastic feet will
give this clearance. If the freezer is placed
on a soft floor (i.e. carpeting) there is a risk
that the plastic feet will sink into the floor
covering and reduce the clearance or, in
the worst case, eliminate it completely.
Therefore a suitable underlay or support
must be used to ensure sufficient clear-
ance.
It is also important not to place the freezer
in direct sunlight or near any kind of heat
source such as an oven or a radiator. The
freezer must stand level and must not be
twisted. The freezer is designed for tempe-
rature class N in accordance with Europe-
an standard EN 153.
This means that the freezer runs optimally
within a room temperature range of +16°C
to +32°C.
Electrical connection
The freezer is intended for connection to
alternating current. The connection values
for voltage (V) and frequency (Hz) are
given on the nameplate in the cabinet
