Folding Handle

1. Squeeze bottom handle section together and
slide past stops of handle brackets (Fig. 48).
2. Rotate handle toward front of mower (Fig. 49).
Note: Fold handle only as illustrated. If
handle is folded in opposite direction
damage will occur to control cables.
3. Loosen knobs securing top handle section to
bottom section and fold top handle section back
towards rear of mower into storage position.

Removing From Storage

1. Unfold handle. See handle assembly instructions

2. Check and tighten all fasteners.
3. Remove spark plug (Fig. 4) and spin engine
rapidly using starter to blow excess oil from the
cylinder. Clean spark plug or replace if cracked,
broken or electrodes are worn.
4. Install spark plug and torque to 180 in.-lbs.
(15 ft.-lbs.) (20 N m).
5. Perform recommended maintenance procedures.

6. Fill fuel tank (Fig. 8) with fresh, clean gasoline.
7. Check engine oil level.
8. Reconnect spark plug wire (Fig. 4).
