IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that switch in set to "OFF" position or the product
is disconnected from its power source.
4.1- Electrical connection
Warning! It is recommended to disable the main circuit breaker.
If in doubt, seek assistance from a qualified person to carry out the electrical connection.
4.1.1- For models WITHOUT power cord
The product is delivered without cable.
We recommend using a H05RN-F 3G1.0mm
1. Cable Preparation
At each end of the cable, strip the 3 wires (blue,
brown, green/yellow) by approx. 6mm with a wire
stripper.
Stripped wires should be copper clad.
Note: Try to leave the ground wire (green/yellow)
slightly longer than the other 2 wires by approx.
5mm.
2. Connecting the cable to the luminaire housing
a) Unscrew the cable gland (b) from the elbow connector (c) to access the terminal block (d) for electrical
connection.
b) Unscrew the cable gland's lock nut (a) from the gland (b).
c) Insert the power cord (e) through the lock nut (a) and then the cable gland (b).
d) Connect the wires (blue, brown, green / yellow) of the power cord (e) to the terminal block (d), taking care
to respect the wires color codes: blue with blue; brown with brown, and green/yellow with green/yellow.
Note: Make sure the ground wire (green/yellow) is longer than the other wires.
e) Leave the required length of electrical cable inside and then replace and screw the cable gland (b) firmly
onto the elbow connector (c).
f) Pull the cable slightly, replace the lock nut (a) on the cable gland (b) and tighten firmly.
3. Connecting the cable to your electrical system
WARNING: carry out the connection with your electrical system in accordance with the applicable national /
local regulations (for France: according to NF C 15 100).
It is recommended to carry out the electrical connection with control system (e.g. an On/Off switch) which
controls the luminaire, preferably installed indoors.
If you are installing the control system outdoors, be sure to use an IP X5 waterproof switch.
a. Indoors installation
Carry out the connection with your electrical installation in a junction box using approved connectors, taking
care to respect the wires color codes: blue with blue; brown with brown, and green/yellow with green/yellow.
Close the cover of the junction box.
b. Outdoors installation
Carry out the connection with your electrical installation in a waterproof junction box (IP X5), specially
designed for outdoor installation, using approved waterproof connectors, taking care to respect the wires color
codes: blue with blue, brown with brown, and green/yellow with green/yellow.
Close the cover of the junction box to ensure water tightness.
