6.2.1 Service the pump
Clean/service the multi-vane impeller (GTF500 pump)
Check the ease of movement of the moving parts.
Check the ease of movement of the float switch.
Remove the intake cage.
Remove the spiral housing.
Check the multi-vane impeller for deformation and
smooth and easy running.
Clear the ventilation pipe.
Clean moving components.
Clean the exposed multi-vane impeller using a water
bath.
Wipe the float switch down with a damp cloth.
Assemble the pump again in reverse order.
Clean/service the multi-vane impeller (GTF1200 pump)
Check the moving parts for smooth and easy move-
ment.
Check the float switch for smooth and easy movement.
Remove the intake cage.
Remove the spiral housing.
Check the multi-vane impeller for deformation and
smooth and easy running.
Clear the ventilation pipe.
Clean moving components.
Clean the exposed multi-vane impeller using a water
bath.
Wipe the float switch down with a damp cloth.
Assemble the pump again in reverse order.
