Before each fault elimination:
 switch off device
 wait for standstill of the beater
 pull out power plug
After each fault clearance, put into operation and recheck all security installations.
Problem
Motor does not start.
The device does not extract
properly.
Unusual vibrations / Noise
The device starts running but
does not reach full speed
Device starts but blocks under
slight load and cuts off auto-
matically.

Possible faults

Possibel cause
 No power supply (power failure)
 Mains cable defective.
 Motor or switch defect
 Brush ring segment (4) missing
 Brush ring (5/5a) is worn
 Extraction head on sanding head
clogged or defective
 Extraction tube is clogged.
 Bag of extraction device is full.
 Sanding pad or sanding disc not
properly fastened
 Device is pressed down too firmly
 Extension cable too long, or cross-
section too small.
 Socket too far away from main connec-
tion, and cross-section of connection
lead too small.
Remedy
 Check fuses (10 A)
 Exchange defect cable, respectively check exten-
sion cable, (by electrician)
Never use defect lead
 To correct the problem, refer to the manufacturer
or other approved service centre.
 Plug on brush ring segment
 Replace brush ring
 Clean or replace extraction hose
 Clean the extraction tube
 Empty the bag
 Fasten sanding pad properly.
 Place the sanding disc in the centre and press
down firmly.
 Do not press down the device too firmly on the
surface to be processed
 Extension cable at least 15 mm
long.
 Cross-section of at least 2.5 mm
