ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE HARNESS (illustrations 15-17)
• Find the metal plate on the lower part of the PrimaFix backrest (fg.15) and release the
harness shoulder straps. Take the shoulder straps out of the slots on the seat and the
mattress pad.
• Insert the shoulder straps into the appropriate slots (fg.16) and insert them back into the
metal fork making sure they are positioned correctly. Check that the straps are not twisted.
IMPORTANT: The straps should come out of the backrest at the height of the child's
shoulders and both at the same level (fg.17).
INSTALLING THE PRIMA FIX IN THE VEHICLE
INSTALLATION USING THE ISOFIX CONNECTORS (illustrations 18-33)
• Fasten the two centring clips into the Isofix fasteners of the vehicle, situated between the
backrest and the seat base (fg.18).
• Position the PrimaFix facing backwards opposite the fasteners of the vehicle (fg.19).
• Turning the handle situated on the back of the PrimaFix to the left (fg.20), move the
connectors to the most extended position (fg.21).
• Use both hands to press the seat towards the fasteners until it clicks indicating that both
sides are fastened.
• If the installation is correct, a green line will appear on the outer part of both connector
release devices (fig. 22).
• Set the handle to position A – (fg.23).
• Pull and at the same time turn the rear handle to the right until the safety seat handle
touches the backrest of the vehicle seat (fg.24).
• Pass the additional Top Tether strap through the belt guides situated on the back part of
the PrimaFix backrest (fg.25).
• Position the backrest of the PrimaFix in accordance with the weight of the child.
• Hook the Top Tether karabiner onto the ring of the additional strap (fg.26).
• Hook the other Top Tether karabiner onto the fastener of the vehicle (fg.27).
• Tighten the Top Tether until the red tab in the tightener disappears (fg.28-29).
• Bear in mind the baby's weight when choosing the position of the backrest in the vehicle:
A: up to 5 kg. (fg.7)
B: up to 5 kg. (fg.8)
C: CANNOT BE USED
D: from 5 to 10 kg. (fg.10)
Removal:
• Loosen the Top Tether by pressing the button on the clasp of the tightener (fg.30)
• Take the additional strap out of the belt guides on the PrimaFix backrest (fg.31)
NOTE: It is advisable to leave the Top Tether and the additional strap installed in the vehicle
to make future use easier.
• Use the rear handle to loosen the Isofix connectors of the PrimaFix (fg.32)
• Disconnect the Isofix system, pulling the buttons on both sides of the connector release
devices. A red line will appear on one of them if it is correct (fig. 33).
• You can now take the PrimaFix out of the vehicle. Check that the handle is in the carrying
position (B - fg.8).
WARNING: While installing or removing the PrimaFix, the child should be secured with the
harness.
