PCV ROUTING
A closed crankcase ventilation system is used in order to provide a more complete scavenging of the crankcase vapors. Fresh
air from the air filtration system (air cleaner) is supplied to the crankcase, mixed with blow-by gases, and then passed through a
crankcase ventilation valve into the intake manifold. There are two ports, one each per valve cover. The clean side PCV needs to
be attached to clean dry air. If it is being installed with an engine control system that uses a mass air flow meter, then it should be
placed after the mass air flow meter and prior to the engine throttle body. The air for PCV needs to be measured by the MAF, in
order for proper engine operation. The foul side PCV should be connected to the intake manifold.

STARTER
Chevrolet Performance Parts part number 10465385 is matched to this LQ9 application and is recommended. See your
Chevrolet Performance Parts dealer for details. Starter is transmission dependent in some cases. Verify that the starter will fit the
application of the transmission.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Chevrolet Performance sells fuel injected and carbureted manifolds that will fit the rectangular intake ports of this long block.
Check with your Chevrolet Performance dealer or on www.chevroletperformance.com for the currently available manifolds.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Any Gen III or Gen IV exhaust manifold will fit the cylinder heads.
THROTTLE BODY
All Gen IV rectangular intake manifolds use an electronic throttle bodies. An aftermarket adaptor plate may be required for your
application.
