7. SAFETY
A num ber of possible risks m ay arise when
operating your solid fuel fireplace with fuel of any
brand. T he said risks can be minim ised if the
instructions and recom mendations included in this
m anual are followed.
a) Keep any flammable
curtains, clothes...) away from fireplace, at a
safety distance of at least 0.90 m . (Fig. 1)
b) Ash should be em ptied into a metal container
and imm ediately removed from the house.
c) Do not use flamm able liquids to light the
fireplace. Keep any type of flamm able liquid
(petrol, gasoline, alcohol,....) at a distance from
the fireplace.
d) Periodically inspect the chimney and clean
whenever necessary. Also inspect the state of
joints, glass, screw s...
e) Do not install near walls that are com bustible or
that feature any type of lining that m ay be
dam aged or deform ed by high tem peratures
(varnish, paint...). Ensure that the top hot air
grilles
are not installed on combustible elements.
f) Protect your hands with a glove or other
insulating m aterial because, during operation,
the opening and closing handle will be hot.
When installing the insert fireplace, follow the
installation adv ice below for your ow n safety:
1. The base w here you are going to place your
insert fireplace must be flat and provide a
perfect seat for your fireplace. The base
must be built using heat resistant materials.
2. The gap in w hich your Insert w ill be installed
must be completely free from debris and
waste materials that may ignite w hen the
fireplace is w orking.
3. The inside of the gap w here the insert
fireplace is to

that resist high temperatures.

not cover the ventilation grille.

REPLACING THE POWER SUPPLY CABLE
If the power supply cable has been dam aged,
it should be replaced by the m anufacturer, via its
T echnical Service, or by qualified personnel, in
order to avoid risks.
