Checking the vehicle seat belt
WARNING: only use the car seat in the forward facing position. Your car seat must only be installed
forward facing using a three point seatbelt 1, 2, with retractor, in the front or rear passenger seats of
the vehicle.

OKI b·fix can be installed on car seats equipped with Isofix anchor points, but ALWAYS in combination
with the car seat belt. To check the correct compatibility, see the Vehicle Application list (pages 89-
96).
Checking the seat belt buckle position
The position of the seat belt buckle can affect the stability of the child safety seat. In an accident this
could stop the car seat from protecting your child as well as it should.
If the buckle lies across the seat as shown in the picture, this child safety seat is not suitable for use
with this seat belt or vehicle.

Fitting the car seat -15 to 25 kgs (Universal Category)
Install the car seat on the appropriate vehicle seat. Make sure the vehicle seat is upright and in its most
rearward position.
Place the child into the car seat and fasten the seat belt. Make sure that both sections of the seat belt
guide pass trough the armrest next to the seat belt buckle. Check that the seat belt has not become
twisted and tighten by pulling the diagonal strap upwards.

Adjusting the backrest height
Make sure that the diagonal cars seat belt section passes over the child's shoulder, but not in front of
his neck.

To reach the right belt position, you can easily adjust the backrest height by following these opera-
tions:
To raise the backrest: grip the top of the backrest and pull upwards until the diagonal car seat belt
section is in the right position.
To lower the backrest: pull the backrest slightly upwards, push the backrest adjustment button 1 on
the top of the backrest and hold. Lower the backrest until the diagonal car seat belt section is in the right
position on child's shoulder. Release the backrest adjustment button to lock the backrest in position.

Installing with additional Isofix connectors
WARNING: If your car is equipped with Isofix anchor points, you can install your OKI b·fix seat, using
the Isofix connectors, but ALWAYS and ONLY in combination with the car seatbelt. To check the full
compatibility, see the Vehicle Application List (pages 89-96).
