1. General
Application
The Flexcon connection group 1" is a valve that is locked (in the open
position) with a fill and drain valve.
The Flexcon connection group 1" is used to drain and/or top up the system
and to shut off an expansion vessel in heating and cooling installations.
Recommended: mount the connecting group directly on to the
expansion vessel (1.0). This makes it possible to check the pre-pressure of
the expansion vessel. The vessel can also be replaced without depressuri-
sing or draining the installation.
Min./max. system pressure: 0/10 bar.
Min./max. system temperature: -10 °C/120 °C.
Safety
Install the connecting group in a frost-free location at a point that is easily
accessible for maintenance.
Also read the mounting and operating manual for the
expansion vessel.
2. Installation
Place sealing tape on connection (A) and the connection of the
expansion pipe (2.0).
Commissioning
Allow only qualified staff to perform the installation.
Comply with the local regulations and guidelines.
Disconnecting the expansion vessel from the system
If the vessel is to be closed off by the connecting group, the installation
should be switched off.
2.1 Connect the hose with the G ¾" screwed connection to the fill/drain
opening. Provide for proper discharge (2.1).
2.2 Remove the cotter pin and sleeve (2.2).
2.3 Turn the spindle 90° using the hexagon ends, with the notch on the
head facing towards drain connection (B), (2.3).
2.4 Open the fill/drain valve by turning the handle to the left (2.4).
2.5 Check the vessel for the correct/corresponding gas pre-pressure. If the
gas pre-pressure is correct, go to 2.7.
2.6 When replacing the vessel, check the vessel for the correct/correspon-
ding gas pre-pressure. If necessary, correct the pre-pressure.
2.7 Connect the hose to the water tap. When filling, the water pressure pre-
sent should be at least 0.5 bar more than the required filling pressure.
2.8 Shut the fill/drain valve by turning it to the right and loosen the hose.
2.9 Open the locking valve (turn back the spindle 90°, with the notch in the
head facing towards the expansion pipe).
2.10 Replace the sleeve and cotter pin for
mandatory locking required by law (2.10).
Instructions for the installer:
Slowly fill the installation up to the filling pressure via the expansion vessel.

When draining system only
Follow steps 2.1, 2.4 and 2.8.
When topping up system only
Follow steps 2.1, 2.7 and 2.8.
3. Maintenance and service
Recommended: regularly perform visual inspections.
4. Disassembly
Depressurise the system completely. There is a risk of scalding! Hot
water may flow out of the system. Remove the product.

1. Allgemeines
Anwendung
Bei der Flexcon Anschlussgruppe 1" handelt es sich um ein Ventil, das (in
geöffneter Stellung) mit einem Füll- und Ablassventil abgesperrt ist.
Die Flexcon Anschlussgruppe 1" dient zum Entleeren und/oder Nachfüllen
der Anlage sowie zum Absperren eines Ausdehnungsgefäßes in Heiz- und
Kühlanlagen. Empfehlung: Die Anschlussgruppe direkt am
Ausdehnungsgefäß (1.0) montieren. Das ermöglicht die Überprüfung des
Vordrucks
des Ausdehnungsgefäßes. Außerdem kann das Gefäß ohne Druckentlastung
oder Entleerung der Anlage ausgetauscht werden.
Min./max. Anlagendruck: 0/10 bar.
Min./max. Anlagentemperatur: –10 °C/120 °C.
Sicherheit
Die Anschlussgruppe ist an einer frostfreien Stelle zu installieren, die im
Zusammenhang mit Wartungsarbeiten leicht zugänglich ist.

2. Installation
Dichtband anbringen: auf dem Anschluss (A) sowie dem Anschluss
des Ausdehnungsrohrs (2.0).
Inbetriebnahme
Die Anlage darf nur von ausreichend geschultem Personal installiert werden.
Dabei sind die geltenden Vorschriften und Richtlinien zu beachten und
einzuhalten.
Trennung des Ausdehnungsgefäßes von der Anlage
Wenn das Gefäß von der Anschlussgruppe getrennt werden muss, sollte die
Anlage abgeschaltet werden.
2.1 Den Schlauch mit dem Gewindeanschluss G ¾" an die Füll-/Ablass-
Öffnung anschließen. Sicheren Ablauf herstellen (2.1).
2.2 Splint und Hülse entfernen (2.2).
2.3 Die Spindel mithilfe der Sechskant-Enden um 90° drehen, wobei die
Kerbe am Kopf in Richtung Entleerungsanschluss zeigt. (B), (2.3).
2.4 Das Füll-/Ablassventil öffnen, dazu den Handgriff nach links drehen
(2.4).
2.5 Am Gefäß auf richtigen/entsprechenden Gasvordruck kontrollieren.
Wenn der Gasvordruck korrekt ist, bei Punkt 2.7 fortsetzen.
2.6 Bei Austausch des Gefäßes: am Gefäß auf richtigen/entsprechenden
Gasvordruck kontrollieren. Den Vordruck gegebenenfalls korrigieren.
2.7 Den Schlauch an den Wasserhahn anschließen. Beim Auffüllen sollte
der Wasserdruck den erforderlichen Fülldruck mindestens um 0,5 bar
übersteigen.
2.8 Das Füll-/Ablassventil schließen, dazu nach rechts drehen. Den
Schlauch lösen.
2.9 Das Sperrventil öffnen (die Spindel um 90° zurückdrehen, wobei die
Kerbe im Kopf zum Ausdehnungsrohr zeigt).
2.10 Hülse und Splint ersetzen,
bei gesetzlich vorgeschriebener Absperrung (2.10).
Anweisungen für den Installateur:
Die Anlage über das Ausdehnungsgefäß langsam bis zum Fülldruck auffül-
len.

3. Wartung und Service
Empfehlung: regelmäßig Sichtkontrollen durchführen.
4. Demontage
Vollständige Druckentlastung der Anlage. Es besteht Verbrühungsge-
fahr! Heißes Wasser kann aus der Anlage austreten. Das Produkt
entfernen.
