The parasol is designed to protect against direct sunlight.

The parasol provides protection against direct UV radiation.

For full sun protection that includes protection from indirect UV radiation, you should
always use a suitable sunscreen product.
•
Always secure the parasol with 4 paving slabs measuring 50 x 50 x 5 cm and a minimum
weight of 25 kg per slab. The parasol must be stabilised with a total counterweight of
minimum 100 kg.

Only use the parasol, if it is proper working order. If you detect any damage or
malfunction, have it repaired by a specialist technician.
2.3
Improper use
Examples of improper use:
•
Do not leave children unsupervised near the parasol, and make sure that they do not use
the parasol as a toy.
•
Do not use the parasol on roof terraces or at other locations exposed to strong wind and
gusts.
•
The total weight of the paving slabs (counterweight) must be minimum 100 kg.
•
Never operate a barbeque (gas, charcoal or electric) or light a fire under or next to the
parasol – risk of fire. The parasol might be damaged by flying sparks.
•
Never use heaters (gas or infrared) under the parasol – risk of fire.
•
Keep the parasol closed during thunderstorms, rain or snowfall.
•
In windy conditions, close the parasol and secure it with the strap or protective cover.
•
Do not modify the parasol, and do not attach objects to it that might impair its stability or
function.
Improper use of the parasol shall void all warranty. Xaver Schneider GmbH & Co. KG shall not
be liable for damage caused by improper use.
2.4
Reasonably foreseeable misuse
Reasonably foreseeable misuse includes:
•
Installation of the parasol on soft, sandy or wet ground.
•
Non-compliance with the instructions in this manual.
•
Use of non-approved fixtures and parts.
•
Unauthorised modification and repair of the product.
