1. On the HOME page, select
MENU, then SETTING, followed
by PRE-LOAD and PRE-CODE.
Now you see the list of device
categories.
2. Choose the category of the devi-
ce you are adding controls for
(e.g. TV). For a Vincent device
select "HIFI".
3. From the following list, select the
brand of your device (e.g.
"Vincent").
Now you can see a certain number of
code numbers or, in the case of Vincent
devices, some device designations.
4. Choose the appropriate designa-
tion in case of a Vincent device
(note: SAVCX stands for SAVC1,
SAVC2 etc.), otherwise select the
first code number in the list (e.g.
"016"). Now the first function
key page of this data set ap-
pears. For any non-Vincent device
try some of the function keys on
your device. If necessary, use the
page selection keys (6)(7).
5. If your device reacts properly to
the infrared commands, confirm
the selection with OK.
6. If your device does not react to
the infrared commands, press the
key and choose the next code
number. Once again, try some of
the functions on your device. Re-
peat this until you found the cor-
rect code number or tested every
