Routing with auxiliary guide rail
When working on large workpieces, for
example cutting grooves, a board or strip of
wood can be fastened to the workpiece as a
guide so that the product can moved along it.
Move the product with the straight edge
of guide plate along the auxiliary guide.
Routing mouldings
NOTE:
When routing mouldings without parallel
fence the router must be provided with a
guide or bearing.
Start the product and move it from the
side against the workpiece until the guide
on the bit or bearing rests against the side
of the workpiece to be cut.
Move the product along the workpiece
with both hands. Make sure to keep the
product at right angles to the workpiece.
Do not press too hard, this can damage
the edge of the workpiece.
Routing with parallel fence
1.
Put the parallel fence with the guide rails
in the base plate and tighten the wing
screws to the required position. The wing
screws can also be used to adjust the
parallel fence lengthwise.
- When both wind screws are slackened
the fine adjustment knob can be used
for lengthwise adjustment. One turn
corresponds to an adjustment of 2.0 mm.
One scale division on the fine adjustment
knob corresponds to an adjustment of
0.1 mm.
- The effective contact surface of the
parallel fence can be adjusted with the
edge guide.
2.
Start the product and move it smoothly
along the edge of the workpiece, applying
a slight pressure sideways against the
parallel fence.

IMPORTANT:
When routing with parallel fence the dust
extractor must be connected with the dust
extraction adapter for the parallel fence.
Routing with circle jig
A circle jig/guide rail adapter can be used for
circle routing.
1.
Fit the circle jig.
2.
Screw the centring screw into the circle jig.
3.
Screw the tip of the centring screw in the
centre of the circle to be routed. Check
that the tip of the screw engages with the
surface of the workpiece.
4.
Move the circle jig to roughly adjust the
radius and tighten the wing screws.
5.
Start the product and move it over the
workpiece holding the right handle and
the handle of the circle jig.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING!
When working with metal the motor fan
can pull dust into the casing and if a
large amount of metal dust accumulates
this can result in a risk of electric shock.
Switch off the product, pull out the plug
and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before cleaning,
adjusting, maintenance and/or
replacing accessories.
Clean the product with a mild detergent
and a damp cloth.
A damaged cord or plug must be replaced
by an authorised service centre or other
qualified personnel to ensure safe use.
Blow clean the ventilation openings
frequently and use a residual current
device.
