2.
Adjust the scale for fine adjustment of the
cutting depth by turning the knob until the
numbers match, then set the scale to 0.
3.
Move the stop lug to its lowest position.
Note when it engages. Undo the lock
screw so that the depth stop can be
moved.
4.
Press down the release lever and slowly
move down the router until the bit
touches the workpiece. Release the lever
to lock the product at this cutting depth.
5.
Press down the depth stop so that it rests
against the stop lug. Adjust the slide
control so that the index mark is in the 0
position on the depth scale.
6.
Adjust the depth stop to the required
cutting depth and tighten the wing screw.
Make sure not to move the slide control.
7.
Press the release lever and move the
router to its top position.
8.
It is recommended to work in several
steps, removing smaller amounts in
each step. The stop lug is used to divide
the routing into several steps. Adjust the
required cutting depth to the lowest step
on the stop lug. After completing the first
step, continue with the higher steps. The
clearance for the steps can be adjusted
with the set screws.
9.
After testing, the required cutting depth
can be set precisely with the adjusting
knob. Turn clockwise to increase the
cutting depth, and anticlockwise to
reduce. Use the scale for guidance. One
complete turn corresponds to a cutting
depth of 2.0 mm. One division on the
scale corresponds to a cutting depth of
0.1 mm. The cutting depth can be
adjusted to a maximum of ± 8 mm.
Example
The required cutting depth is 10.0 mm.
The cutting depth when testing was 9.6 mm.
1.
Lift up the router and place a spare piece
under the guide plate, so that the bit does
not come in contact with the workpiece
when it is moved down.
2.
Press down the release lever and slowly
move down the router until the depth
stop rests against the stop lug.
3.
Turn the scale to 0 and undo the wing
screw.
4.
Turn the adjustment knob 0.4 mm/4
on the scale division, corresponding to
the difference between the set and the
required value, and tighten the wing
screw.
5.
Test again to check the set cutting depth,
whereby the actual cutting depth can be
seen on the scale.
NOTE:
Do not move the slide control on the depth
stop after adjusting the cutting depth.
ROUTING
WARNING!
The product must always be moved
against the direction of rotation of the
bit, so that the bit cuts upwards. If the
product is moved in the opposite
direction, so that the bit cuts downwards,
this can cause kickback and the user
could lose control of the product.
Protect bits from knocks and blows.
1.
Adjust the cutting depth according to the
instructions.
2.
Put the product on the workpiece with
router bit in place and start the product.
3.
Press down the release lever and slowly
move down the router to the required
cutting depth. Release the lever to lock
the product at this cutting depth.
4.
Feed the router smoothly.
5.
On completion, move the router to its top
position.
6.
Switch off the product.
