g. Removing sludge from the installation:
1. Add Virax SLUDGE REMOVER ref. 295025 to the clean water in the tank, respecting the dose
marked on the tub.
2. Position the valves and the flow reverser as below to operate in closed circuit.
3. Press the switch in position I and position II at regular intervals, using the flow reversal to accelerate
the sludge removal and make it more effective.
It is simpler and quicker to remove sludge radiator by radiator, opening and closing each
radiator in series and starting with the radiator which is closest to the boiler in the central
heating circuit.
In this case, you are recommended to add half the quantity of SLUDGE REMOVER
necessary at the start, then add the other half once the 1
been cleared for around ten minutes (position I and II)
h.
Drain the installation and wash it out with clean water until water comes out of the outlet with the same
characteristics as the water into the inlet. The sludge has been removed when the water exiting is clear.
Keep the flow reverser in position II and the three 3 channel valves B as shown in figures 6 and 7. Close
the discharge and the water inlet.
It is vital to wash with clean water at the end of the operation to remove all the sludge remover
present in the installation.

Cleaning heated floors
6-
Because of the temperature of the water which circulates through them, heated floors produce algae
through a chemical reaction, which then blocks the heated floor in the same way as sludge.
Therefore, it is necessary to kill the bacteria that are present in the circuit, something which a
traditional sludge removal cannot do.
To do so, after removing the sludge (see the previous chapter "5 – Removing sludge"), repeat the steps
above from point "5 – Removing sludge / g. removing sludge from the installation", replacing the SLUDGE
REMOVER by VIRAX SANITISER ref. 295026, adding the dose marked on the tub.
