Sludge removal

This step may be used to remove sludge from a central heating installation or a heated floor
a. Screw the ends of the hoses to the outlet and inlet of the circuit to have sludge removed. Make sure that
all the collars are fully tightened.
b. Connect the "clean water inlet" tap to a water distribution point with a pipe.
c. Connect the "discharge" tap to the drain.
Virax offers a 20 m long translucent hose with collars and connectors as an optional accessory (ref.
295022).
d. Connect the power cable to a 230 V monophase, 50 Hz socket.
e. Fill the tank with enough water to keep the level between the "MIN" and the "MAX". Where necessary, top
up the tank with clean water from the "clean water inlet" tap.

Pre-wash the installation with clean water:
1. Open the overflow tap,
2. Press switch A in position II
3. Place the three valves B as in the figure (fig. 1 or 2 according to the circuit inlet and outlet
connection position)

4. Press the switch in position I and position II at regular intervals, using the flow reversal to
accelerate the pre-wash and make it more effective with the 2 three channel valves (B) placed as
shown in figures 3 or 4 (according to the circuit inlet and outlet connection position) until clean water
comes out of the installation.
