3.3. Personal safety
▪ STAY ALERT, WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND USE COMMON SENSE. DO NOT USE A TOOL WHEN YOU ARE TIRED OR
ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS, ALCOHOL OR MEDICATION. Failure to pay attention even for a moment when using the
tool may cause serious injury.
▪ USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Safety equipment such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes,
helmets or acoustic protection used for the appropriate conditions will reduce all risk of injury.
▪ AVOID ANY UNPLANNED START-UP. Carrying the tool with a finger on the trigger or connecting a tool whose switch is in on position
is a source of accidents.
▪ DO NOT RUSH. KEEP A SUITABLE POSITION AND BALANCE AT ALL TIMES. This will enable better control over the tool in
unexpected situations.
▪ DRESS SUITABLY. DO NOT WEAR BULKY CLOTHING OR JEWELLERY. KEEP HAIR, CLOTHES AND GLOVES AWAY FROM
MOVING PARTS. Bulky clothing, jewellery or long hair may be caught up in moving parts.
▪ PREVENT THE MACHINE FROM BEING USED BY CHILDREN OR UNTRAINED PEOPLE. Using the machine without appropriate
training may cause serious physical harm.
▪ ALWAYS USE THE APPROPRIATE TOOL FOR THE WORK. Do not use tools for purposes that do not conform to their use.
3.4. Using and maintaining the tool
▪ USE THE TOOL THAT IS SUITABLE FOR YOUR APPLICATION. A suitable tool will do a good job in complete safety.
▪ DO NOT USE THE TOOL IF THE SWITCH CANNOT GO FROM ON TO OFF AND VICE VERSA. Any tool which cannot be controlled
by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
▪ DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE CURRENT SOURCE BEFORE ANY ADJUSTMENT OR ACCESSORY CHANGE OR BEFORE
PUTTING THE TOOL AWAY. These preventive safety measures reduce the risk of the tool starting accidentally.
▪ KEEP THE TOOLS IN SAFE, DRY AND CLOSED LOCATIONS, OUT OF CHILDREN'S REACH. DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE WHO
ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE TOOL OR THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO OPERATE IT. The tools are dangerous in the hands of novice
users.
▪ OBSERVE TOOL MAINTENANCE. CHECK THAT THERE IS NO INCORRECT ALIGNMENT, LOCKING OF MOVING PARTS OR
BROKEN PARTS BEFORE USE. Numerous accidents are due to poorly maintained tools. Any damaged or defective protection,
switches or other parts must be repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
▪ USE THE TOOL AND ACCESSORIES ACCORDING TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS, TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE WORKING
CONDITIONS AND THE WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT. Using the tool for operations other than those specified may lead to
dangerous situations. Always respect the machine's capacities, taking account of the working conditions and the tasks to be
performed. Using the machine other than for the planned usage is dangerous and invalidates all warranties.
▪ TAKE ACCOUNT OF THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. Do not expose electrical tools to rain or store them in damp or wet locations.
▪ ONLY USE ACCESSORIES RECOMMENDED BY VIRAX FOR YOUR MODEL. Failure to respect this instruction may present a
danger for the user and invalidate the warranty.
