10 Recommended Annual Checks
These checks should be carried out in conjunction with the customers' requirements.
Compressor and Inverter Check
The compressor should inspected:
- unusual sounds
- unusual vibrations
- excessive temperature of the shell
Pressure vessels
All vessels should be inspected as per local laws
and customers' requirements
Liquid drier
Liquid drier filter should be replaced every 2 years
Pressure switch and Pressure Relief Valve
High pressure switch must be checked to ensure
the safe operation of the unit.
Pressure Relief Valve

Check the PRV valve is up to date
The PRVs must be tested for refrigerant tightness
and replaced as per manufacturers guidelines or
customers' requirements/ local legislation

Check tightness of all electrical terminals.

Check compressor bolting to the base

Control compressor running current is within

compressor data
Check the temperature of the body to detect

possible lack of lubrication. Top up oil if
necessary
Inspect insulation for damage and repair as

necessary
Investigate for any signs of corrosion

Investigate for any presence of leaks

Check temperature drop across the filter

Test the correct cut out of the HP pressure

switch to ensure activation and reset at correct
pressure
Functionality of the electrical circuits must be

verified at this point
Procedures for Relief valve replacement
Option 1 (STANDARD UNIT with 8L receiver):
single PRV valve connected to a valve with
metal seal
The following procedure requires a new safety
valve available for replacing
1. Close the evaporator valves and wait the
compressor switches OFF by pump down
2. Turn off the unit via the keypad and main
isolator when the unit stops
3. Remove the top panel and frontal panel
(where there is the GC fan) to easily
access to the receiver compartment
4. The replacement must take place within
15 minutes of closing the ball valve in
front of PRV in order to avoid a pressure
increases in the receiver. You might keep
