7 Troubleshooting

The Power switch does not light up red after you
switch the system on.
• Check if the mains cord is plugged all the way into
the Mains Input jack.
• Check if the mains power supply is actually provi-
ding current.
The Power switch lights up red, but no sound is
coming from D.A.R.T.
• Check the cables that you connected to Line In
and Mic In.
• Check if the signal sources (mixer, keyboard,
CD player) are on.
• Are the Gain Line In or Mic In knobs turned up?
The signal coming from the speaker sounds distorted.
• Check the LED displays at your mixer. They should
not be constantly in the red. If necessary, back off
the volume at the mixer.
• If the LED displays on your mixer are in the green,
turn down the Gain Line In knob on D.A.R.T.
• Observe the Limiter 1" and Limiter 12" LEDs on
D.A.R.T's control panel. These should light up red
for no more than a brief moment.
Under no circumstances may the red LEDs
illuminate continuously. If this is the case, turn
down the corresponding GAIN knob.
Annoying hum
• Check the cables that you are using to connect
the signal source to D.A.R.T If any are damaged,
replace them immediately.
• If you cannot pinpoint the cause of the hum, press
the Ground Lift switch. This should in most cases
fix the problem.
