General instructions for using batteries:
Danger:
Never expose batteries to extreme conditions, such as heat or strong sunlight! There is an acute risk of
explosion and leakage!
Danger:
Make sure that batteries can not be swallowed by children, animals and adults! In particular, keep children
and animals away from this product! If one or more batteries are swallowed, seek medical attention immediately!
Here is an acute danger to life. The substances contained in the battery can cause severe poisoning!
Caution:
Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately! The battery acid contained in the battery can
damage the unit! Avoid direct skin contact with leaking batteries! Wash your hands immediately after contact and
take care that the battery acid does not get into your skin, eyes or mucous membranes! Dispose of leaking and old
batteries according to the regulations.
Replace old batteries with batteries of the same type!
Do not use rechargeable batteries. They have a too low voltage!
Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when you are not using the remote control for more than
a month. Make sure that the battery compartment is always closed when the battery is inserted!
Only operate the device when the battery compartment is closed!
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be re-charged!
New batteries should not be used together with used batteries!
Always use batteries with the same type!
Never short the terminals of the batteries!
Mounting:
Choose a clean surface for fixing. The background or the fastening materials should be selected so that these keep
the weight of this product durably and reliably. Please clean the surface with a cleaning tissue. After cleaning the
surface, remove the protective film of the double-sided adhesive tape. Press the body housing of this product about
10s strong on the surface.
To ensure optimum sensitivity of the sensor, install the device in the room in such a way that the movements are
transversely to the device. Movements that are directly to and from the device are less well detected:
Do not operate the device in the immediate vicinity of:
Metal surfaces e.g. metal door frames
electronic devices such as computers, monitors etc
Heat sources e.g. radiant heaters, radiators or lamps
fume cupboards or fans
luminaires (minimum distance from luminaires >50cm)
Function of the motion sensor:
The sensor integrated in this device detects heat radiation from moving bodies, e.g. people or animals. The
detection of heat radiation can be limited by large furniture, glass panes or very high ambient temperatures of over
40°C, for example in summer. After detecting motion in the detection area (3m) the light turns on for ca. 25s If there
is still motion the light turns off for 1s and starts again for about 25s.
Detection area (Fig. 3):
The detection range of the motion detector is approx. 3m and 110° (free area). In closed rooms the detection
distance can be lower, according to room layout.
