Mount the transistors:
T2, type BC640 or equivalent.
T3, type BC639 or equivalent.
T4 to T6, type 546B or equivalent.
T7 and T8, type BC556B or equivalent.
T9, type BD681. This transistor must me mounted in such a way, that the mark
on the transistor is on the side of D12.
Mount the following electrolytic capacitors. (Watch the polarity!):
- C20 to C23, 1uF min. 25V
- C24, 10uF min. 35V
- C25 to C28, 100uF min. 25V
- C29 to C34, 470uF min. 25V
- C35 to C38, 100uF min. 100V
Mount the screw connector J1, which consists of 4 two-pole screw connectors
inside one another.
Mount the two fuse holders for F1 and F2 and fit a 5A fuse in each.
Mount relay RY1 (16A/12V)
Mount the electrolytic capacitors C39 and C40 of 10,000uF min. 50V or mount
four capacitors C39 to C42 of 4700uF
(because of the arrangement of the connections these capacitors can not be
fitted in the wrong way).
NOTE: If, when using 4 ohm speakers, maximum power is required, four
capacitors of 10,000uF may be fitted.
Mounting the cinch input connectors:
ATTENTION: Depending on the supplied type of connector, you should
determine in which holes the connectors should be mounted. It is possible that
the connections will have to be bent a little.
Mount the cinch connector JR in one amplifier (this will be the right hand
amplifier) and mount the cinch connector JL in the other amplifier.
When the amplifier is to be used in a bridge configuration, only connector JR
should be mounted (this print is mounted on the right hand side). In the
amplifier in which a jumper was mounted for R46, NO cinch connector may be
mounted.
IMPORTANT: Place an extra layer of tin on the already tinned tracks. If the
damping of the amplifier should be as high as possible, a 1mm wire may be
soldered onto the tinned tracks (beware of short-circuits between the different
tracks).
