(Optional Attachment)
ASSEMBLE COMPACT FOOT
1. Disconnect plug from power source.
Remove base plate adjustment thumbscrew.
Note: The square nut will become loose.
2. Remove base plate.
3. Assemble compact foot with existing
thumbscrew and nut.
4. Insert plug into power source.
TIPS FOR TRACING A TEMPLATE
1. Make a template from hardboard or other
similar material in the required shape.
Note: The inside radius of the curve must be
greater that 1" (25.4 mm) in order for the base
plate to properly follow the curved template.
2. Mark the location of the cut to be made.
Mark the workpiece approximately 1" (25.4
mm) back into the workpiece (away from
cutting line.)
3. Clamp the template onto the larger portion
of the workpiece that is to be clamped while
cutting.
4. Place curved portion of the base plate

against the template with the bit near the
start of the cutting line.
Note: Check bit location to ensure cut will be
made in the correct location.
5. Turn the switch on while firmly holding the
tool.
6. Slide front curved portion of the base plate
against the template while making the cut.
Note: Make sure the front curved portion of the
base plate is in contact with the template at all
times.
Note: Dust port adapter can also be used with
this attachment.
