HOLDING THE TOOL
Depending on the task, you may grip the rear
handle alone, or the rear handle and the top of
the ergonomically contoured soft grip motor
Using the Straight Edge/Circle Guide TR800
STRAIGHT EDGE FOR RIP CUTS
The straight edge guide (optional) is used for
cuts parallel to the edge of the work.
1. Unscrew the base plate thumbscrew, slide
the sliding rod of the straight edge guide
through the two notches on the bottom side
of the base plate.
2. Position the tool to the desired length from
the edge of your material. Tighten the
thumbscrew to secure the straight edge
guide to the base plate (Fig. 13).
CUTTING LARGE DIAMETER CIRCLES
(4" TO 13" DIAMETER)
1. Draw the circle on the workpiece and mark
the center of the circle.
2. Using the tool, plunge cut a pilot hole on the
center of the circle, turn tool off and
disconnect the plug from power source.
a. To make a hole – cut from inside edge of the
circle.

b. To make wheels or discs – cut from the
outside edge of the circle
3. Attach straight edge guide to base plate,
properly position base onto straight edge
guide to give the desired circle diameter and
lock down by tightening base plate

4. Insert plug into power source, hold the tool
firmly, align and insert the pivot pin in center
hole, turn tool on and slowly push the tool
forward.
1. Draw a line for the desired cut length, then
draw a second line 1-1/2" to the left of the
desired cut line.
2. Position a board (not provided) so that it
creates a fence on the second line that was
drawn 1-1/2" from the desired cut line (Fig. 15).
3. Slide the tool's base plate along the fence.
Note: Best results are achieved when the
edge guide is positioned on the left side of
the tool.
