all applicable instructions, codes, and regulations.
CAUTION
Inspect all components before use.
Do not use end seal kit if any component is
damaged.
Do not repair damaged or faulty components.
Do not crush or apply severe physical stress on
any component of system.
Unit must be mounted away from vibration,
impacts, water and corrosive gases.
Do not operate above rated temperature value.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Description
The SLCBLKC End Seal Kit is suitable for use only with the SLCBL series self-regulating heating cable.
The kit contains materials for end seal connections. This kit does not provide a power connection: use a
SLCBLUC or SLCBLUC-GF power connection kit for a complete installation.
Applications
Use the SLCBLKC kit with the following heating cables: SLCBL-B, SLCBL-BP and SLCBL-BF. SLCBL-B
is designed for pipe freeze protection in dry locations. SLCBL-BP cable is designed for both wet and dry
locations, as well as for roof and gutter de-icing. SLCBL-BF cable is designed for both wet and dry
locations, as well as strong chemical environments. The cable type is printed on the outer jacket of the
cable.
Tools Required
Scissors, Flat nose pliers, Needle Nose Pliers, Utility Knife, Cutters, Heat Gun

WARNING:

accessories. A qualified person must perform installation and service of heating cable and accessories.
Heating cable must be effectively grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Failure to
comply can result in personal injury and/or property damage.
Note:
All electrical wiring, including Ground Fault Protection must be installed according to National Electrical
or local codes by a qualified person.
Article 426 of ANSI/NFPA 70 of National Electrical Code (NEC Section 62 of CAN/CSA-C22.1 Canadian
Electrical Code, Part I (CEC)) governs the installation of this heat system.
SLCBLKC End Seal Kit is suitable for use with SLCBL series heating cables.
Keep ends of heating devices and kit components dry before and during installation.
