Turn off the appliance and let cool completely before servicing. Only a qualified service person should service
and/or repair this electric appliance.
HARD-WIRING CONNECTION
If it is necessary to hard-wire this appliance, a qualified electrician must remove the cord connection and wire the
appliance directly to the household wiring. The wire and power supply breaker must be rated for 120V, minimum
15 amps.
This appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes, if hard-wired. In the
absence of local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code in Canada or the current ANSI/
NFPA 70 National Electrical Code in the United States.
A.
Remove the cover plate from the bottom right side of the appliance by removing the three screws (Fig.
4-1).
B.
Remove the wire connectors from the power cord (Fig. 4-2). Discard power cord.
C.
Install the strain relief (supplied) into the new cover plate (Fig. 4-3). Feed wires through the strain relief.
D.
Using the wire connectors, connect the ground green wires (G) and the common white wires (N) together,
then connect the hot black wires (L) (Fig. 4-4).
E.
Install the new cover plate using the three screws previously removed in step 1.
