Removing scale

Switch off the humidifier and unplug
from the electrical outlet.

Remove the upper unit by holding it
at both sides (fig. c).

Remove filter and filter support from
the reservoir (fig. p).

Empty reservoir.

Fill reservoir with 8oz./236.5ml
undiluted white vinegar. Let solution
sit in reservoir for 20 minutes
(fig. s).

Clean all interior surfaces with
a soft brush. Dampen soft cloth
with undiluted white vinegar and
wipe out reservoir to remove scale
(fig. t).

Rinse thoroughly with clean, warm
water to remove scale and cleaning
solution before disinfecting the
reservoir (fig. u).
Disinfecting the reservoir

Follow the instructions for removing
scale.

Place reservoir in a sink. Fill reservoir
with a solution of 1 tsp/5g chlorine
bleach in 1 gal/3.78liters water. Let
solution stay 20 minutes, swishing
every few minutes. Wet all surfaces
(fig. v).

Empty reservoir and rinse with water
until bleach smell is gone (fig. w).

Dry the inside and outside of the
reservoir with a soft, clean cloth or
paper towel (fig. x).

Put the filter and filter support back
into the reservoir (fig. f).

Place the upper unit back onto the
reservoir (fig. h).

Cleaning the filter

Take out the filter and the filter
support from the reservoir (fig. p).

Remove the filter from the filter
support (fig. q).

Soak the filter in tap water for one
hour (fig. r).

Rinse the filter under a slowly
running tap water. (fig. y).

Let excess water drip off the filter.

Assemble the filter around the filter
support (fig. e).

Put the filter and the filter support
back into the reservoir (fig. f).

Put the upper unit back onto the
reservoir (fig. h).
Note
•
Do not squeeze or wring the filter. This
might damage the filter and impact the
humidifier's performance.
•
Do not dry the filter under direct
sunlight.
