Advantages of the pump fed system:
 Low installation requirement
 System can be easily extended
 Can be easily connected in front of UVC clarifying units
 Perfectly tailored to the corresponding FIAP-Filter Pumps
Gravity fed system
The filter system is completely buried (filter pit). The inlet opening is located beneath the water level of
the pond. The dirty pond water enters the first filter container via bottom drains or skimmers and then
flows into the following filter modules. According to the principle of communicating pipes (hydrostatic
pressure), the water level balances out in the containers to the level of the pond. pump in the last filter
module pumps the clean water via a pipe back into the pond.
Advantages of the gravity fed system:
 Excellent transport and thus effective removal of suspended particles using the principle of gravity
 Energy efficient due to negligible height differences and low frictional losses
 Can be unobtrusively integrated in a water garden
 UVC clarifying units can be connected in series behind
 Perfectly tailored to the corresponding FIAP-Filter Pumps
Function
1.
Unfiltered water is escorted by the inflow in the filter drum.
2.
Water is filtered by originating pressure differential between filter drum and filter case
3.
The particle gathers in the inside of the filter drum.
4.
By rotation of the filter drum are led the particle on height the mud discharge spout. The
rotation occurs with manual operation continuously.
The rotation of the drum is released at automatic operation by a water level feeler.
- Follow request maximum water level in the filter -
The rotation at automatic operation occurs according to pollution level of the water
continuously or in intervals. The spray duration with intervals can be put by a time relay in
the switch box.
5.
By height the mud discharge spout are rinsed the particle by a jet of water from the spray
nozzles and reach in the mud discharge spout.
6.
The mud water flows about the mud discharge spout from the filter.
7.
The cleaned water flows through the outlet.

Basic installation instructions
Filters with tank can be lifted with a forklift or with crane and lift belts.
The filter system must stand stable and horizontal and be fastened on a steady base.
The filter system always with closed lid pursues. - Accident danger-
With air temperatures and water temperatures less than 8 °C the filter system must be accommodated
in a heated building.

Rotation of the filter
The drum is driven about a gear engine with direct impulse and is stored by a POM sliding bearing.
The rotation direction of the drum is indicated by an arrow in the filter chamber.
Position of the drum and their setting
Attention! The setting of the drum position is only necessary if the filter system during the transport or
by installation was put out to strong pushes.
Electrical system
The electric connection is to be carried out according to local rules and regulations.

The conduit for deriving of the mud water had to do an inclination from mind. 1% so that the mud can
unhindered flow off and settle no mud leftovers in the pipe.
Purge rinse system
Control that all spray nozzles are open
The dishwater must freely be from particles. Use provided fine filter
Water level
The highest, admitted difference of the water level between the inside and the outside of the drum
amounts to 300 mm with continuous operation. Recommended differences at normal operation are
max. 200 mm.

Control measures by starting the filter system
Control that the filter system is closed, before you start the filter system.
Connect the power plug and choose mode "Hand". The filter drum turns and the spray system works.
ATTENTION! Do not grab in the running machine! - Injury danger
Torque from nuts and bolts
After approx. 2 weeks operation all nuts and bolts in the filter should be retightened.
