Control system
If the filter system is equipped with the standard control system of FIAP Aquaculture, two modes of
operation are possible, the level-steered operation (A) and the continuous operation (B).
A: The rotation of the filter is released by the filling state control and the spray system is activated if the
water level has reached the filling state controller (feeler) in the filter drum. Never position the feeler
about the maximum water level, because the system works, otherwise, not properly and cannot stamp
in filtered water into the filter chamber.
B: With continuous operation the automatic controlling system is not used, but the drum is rotated and
scours out without interruption and the water level is held almost steady in the drum. Of the filling state
controller and the automatic controlling system are not, on this occasion, in function.

Drive system
The drum is driven by a gear engine by direct impulse.
Purge rinse system
The standard nozzles have an opening of 1.4 mm. With certain ranges of application it can become
necessary to use a smaller opening to reduce the flow of the dishwater. For further information ask your
supplier or FIAP Aquaculture.
The dishwater pressure ordinarily lies with about 7-8 bar; however, a lower pressure can be also used,
as long as the filter fabric is kept clean. A lower pressure extends the life span of the filter fabric. It is
important that the bayonet socket nozzle is correctly mounted after the cleaning. If a nozzle is solving,
the jet of water can destroy the filter fabric.
Water level
The water level varies if the filter system is driven in the automatic mode "AUTO". It is the lowest after
a scour out period and rises, until of the filling state controller the filter system activates. If a steady
water level is wished in the filter, the drum must be continuously driven ("HAND" mode).
The water level in the drum must be put as high as possible, without unfiltered water about the internal
