WORK AREA SAFETY

Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres in the presence of flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Do not start the machine in an enclosed room or enclosure. Exhaust gases and fuel vapours contain carbon
monoxide and dangerous chemicals.
The area within a radius of 15 metres around the machine must be regarded as a risk area into which no one
may enter while the machine is running (Safety Zone). When necessary, use ropes and warning signs to mark
the safety zone. Keep children and onlookers away while operating this machine. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
Do not leave this machine running unattended. If you must leave the machine unattended, turn off the engine,
wait for the cutting tool to stop and unplug the spark plug wire.
Remember that the machine operator is responsible for hazards and accidents caused to other people or things.
Do not allow anyone to enter the working perimeter. This working perimeter must be 15 meters and is a
dangerous area.

FUEL SAFETY

Gasoline and oil are dangerous. Do not inhale or ingest. If you swallow fuel and/or oil, see your doctor promptly.
If it comes into contact with fuel or oil, clean with plenty of soap and water as soon as possible. If your eyes or
skin become irritated afterwards, consult a doctor immediately.
Fuel and oil are dangerous and highly flammable chemicals. If they ignite, extinguish the fire with a dry powder
extinguisher.
Do not spill fuel or smoke near the machine.
Always turn off the engine before refuelling.
Always refuel in well-ventilated areas. And never with the engine running, or hot.
If a fuel leak is found, do not start or run the engine until the leak has been repaired.
Make sure the fuel cap is properly closed.
Fuel stored in the carburetor for long periods of time can cause a hard start and may also lead to more repairs and
maintenance being needed. Do not use fuel that has been stored for more than 2 months.
Always store fuel in approved containers.
MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE SAFETY
Use this machine, accessories, tools, etc. in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
Check that all security features are installed and in good condition.
Do not modify machine controls or engine speed regulations.
Be sure the machine is turned off when cleaning up debris.
Don't force this machine. A correct use for the type of work to be done will allow you to work better and safer.
Hold this machine. Check that moving parts are not misaligned or jammed, that there are no broken parts, that
the hoses are in proper condition, that the handles are dry and clean, or other conditions that may affect the
operation of this machine.
Turn off the machine and disconnect the spark plug before making any adjustments, filling with fuel, changing
accessories, cleaning, transporting or storing this machine.
Reduce the engine speed when switching off the engine, if the engine is fitted with a fuel shut-off valve, switch
off the fuel when the engine has stopped.
