IR remote control 41-930
Use
IR remote control 41-930 is used to operate and configure the
following KNX presence detectors:
Types 41-730 and 41-731.
Setting
Settings using IR remote control 41-930: Fig. 1.
Unlock/lock:
Press three times to "unlock the detector" for setup. The green
LED flashes every time "Lock/unlock" is pressed. When the
detector acknowledges with four flashes from the green LED, it
is unlocked for setup. The button must be pushed three times
within 10 seconds.
Press "Lock/unlock" once to "lock" setup – operating mode. The
presence detector acknowledges with two flashes from the green
LED.
The detector must be unlocked for all settings configurations,
with the exception of "Scene 1–4", "Zone 1–4", "Dim +", "Dim –",
"On", "Off" and "Auto". The presence detector is locked after 30
minutes if this is not done manually. In both cases, any settings
changes will be saved.
Programme:
By activating the "Prog." button, the detector is placed in KNX
programming mode – allowing the KNX address to be set using
the ETS software. "Prog." is able to switch programming mode
on and off. The red LED remains illuminated until the address has
been configured.
Calibrate:
Automatic calibration of the light sensor – so that it detects the
artificial light conditions in the room. Activating this function
turns on all the artificial lighting in all zones for two minutes
(warm-up to maximum luminosity), after which the lighting is
dimmed and then briefly switched off in each zone. The detector
will eventually return to automatic operation. The red LED flashes
during warm-up. During the calibration period, all other detector
functions are blocked.

Test On/Off:
This function turns test mode on and off. Test mode allows the
detector's detection range to be tested. An LED shows which
sector is activated. The blue LED illuminates for 0.5 seconds
when activity is detected in sector A. The green LED illuminates
for 0.5 seconds when activity is detected in sector B, and the
red LED illuminates for 0.5 seconds when activity is detected
in sector C. The artificial lighting is turned on in all cases. Test
mode is interrupted automatically after 10 minutes if this is not
done manually.
Burn in:
All florescent tubes intended for dimming have to be "burned
in" in order to achieve optimum luminosity and lifetime. In
other words, the florescent tubes must not be dimmed during
the first 100 hours during which they are turned on. "Burn in"
is performed individually for the zones. This function can be
reached by pressing the zone and then pressing the "Burn in"
button. Once the Burn in time preconfigured in the ETS software
has passed, the detector will return to automatic operation. In
order to cancel this function, press the "Burn in" button again.
Example:
Burn in of zone 1. Press "Zone 1" and then press "Burn in". Both
buttons need to be pressed within 10 seconds.
When burn in is active, all other detector functions are blocked.
ETS settings:
Pressing this button restores all settings to the most recent
configuration made in the ETS software.
Sens. -/+:
This function is used to increase or decrease the presence
detector's sensitivity in all three sectors, A - B - C,
simultaneously. In order to increase sensitivity, press "Sens. +".
Every time the button is pressed, sensitivity is increased by 10%
of the maximum. Conversely, the presence detector's sensitivity
is decreased by pressing "Sens. –". The detector acknowledges
with a number of blue or red flashes indicating how many
steps the detector's sensitivity is below or above the sensitivity
configured using the ETS software. The detector acknowledges
with a single green flash if the sensitivity is the same as that
configured using the ETS software.
Example:
When "Sens. –" is pressed twice, the detector acknowledges
with two flashes from the blue LED – the sensitivity is 20%
below the setting configured using the ETS software. If "Sens.
+" is pressed an additional five times, the red LED will flash
three times – the sensitivity is now 30% above the sensitivity
configured using the ETS software.
Auto:
This function will return all zones to automatic operation. The
light is adjusted according to levels of daylight.
Learn actual lux:
This function uses the current lux level as a setpoint for control.
The light level in the three daylight-controlled zones is configured
manually using the "Dim –" and "Dim +" functions. By pressing
"Learn actual lux" the configured light level(s) is/are used as the
setpoint(s). This function requires that calibration be performed
first and that "feedback" connections be configured from the
actuators to the detector.
