7. Controls and Connections


It is possible that the rear side of the power supply unit included in the delivery looks somehow different
(for ex. if the design of mains socket and mains switch in newer versions of the power supply unit was
modified by the manufacturer).
A Fan
The fan blows air in the power supply unit; this air can escape via the openings at the rear side.
Never cover the ventilation openings of the power supply unit; heat accumulation destroys the power
supply unit and the connected components! Furthermore, it may cause fire hazard! Never introduce
objects into the openings of the power supply unit; there is the danger of a lethal electric shock!
B Power switch
The power supply unit is switched on via the mains switch (switch position "I") or switched off (switch position "0").

It is imperative that you note chapter 6 in this operating manual!
C Power socket (appliance socket for low power device)
Connect this socket to the mains voltage (power socket) via the mains cable included in the delivery.
D Screwing holes
The four screwing holes at the outer corners of the power supply unit serve for the fastening of the power supply unit
to the computer housing. Use as many screws as possible; the big weight of the power supply unit could cause
damages to the computer housing (e.g. during transport).
