Dear customer, The safety instructions and danger warnings below are not only for the protection of the
device but also to protect your well being. Please read carefully through the following points:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE). Furthermore, the guarantee/warrantee would also expire in such a case.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Children cannot assess the
dangers involved when dealing with electric devices.
Be especially careful if children are around, as they could try to put objects through the openings of
the housing into the device! There is danger of a lethal electric shock.
• The product is intended for use in dry indoors, it must not get damp or wet! This would not only destroy
the product but it also represents a deadly peril through an electric shock!
• The structure of the power supply unit complies with safety class I. As a voltage source only a proper
power socket, with a protective earth ground, of the public power supply system may be used.
The power supply unit must be connected to a mains voltage of 100-240V~, 47-63Hz only.
Switching between the different input voltages is effected automatically.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport) condensation may
form. There is the risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
This is why you should always let the product get to room temperature before you use it or connect
the plug-in power supply with the mains voltage. This can sometimes take several hours.
• Do not place any containers with liquid, e.g. buckets, vases or plants in the immediate proximity of
the product. Liquid could get inside the housing and impair electrical safety.
There is furthermore a high risk of fire or of a life-threatening electric shock.
If this is the case, de-energize the corresponding socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and only then
pull the power cord from the socket. Afterwards, the product must no longer be used, bring it to a
specialist workshop.
• Use the device only in moderate climate regions and not in tropical climate.
• Never touch the power supply, computer, power cord and the mains plug when your hands are damp
or wet. Danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Do not disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Always disconnect it
from the mains socket by taking it at the provided gripping areas. The same is the case for the
connection of the low power device.
• Do not bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
