Pay particular attention when driving down steep slopes. Added to
that of a mounted or towed implement, the force exercised by the
weight of the machine will influence the steering action.
Use of a steering clutch (right, for example) releases the braking action on the
same side (right strap). Conditioned by the force exercised by its own weight,
the machine will turn in the opposite direction (left).
4.9 PARKING BRAKE
When the steering lever n.7 fig.1 is positioned in the centre, depress the brake
pedal n.9 fig.1 to brake both tracks together.
4.10 PARKING BRAKE
Engage the parking brake (N° 8 fig. 1) whenever the machine is parked or if it
must be prevented from moving for any reason. Indicator light N° 12 fig. 12 will
come on at the same time.
4.11 SAFETY FRAME (roll-bar or ROPS)
The machine is equipped with a folding safety frame. Always keep the safety
frame mounted in its correct vertical position when you are working. It is
absolutely forbidden to modify the structural components of this type of
construction by welding on additional parts, drilling holes, grinding, etc. Failure to
comply with these recommendations could impair the rigidity of the frame itself.
The safety frame is subjected to considerable stress if the tractor tips over. If this
happens, the structural components must be replaced if they have been bent,
deformed or damaged in some other way.
When in the horizontal position, the safety frame will provide no
protection if the tractor tips up. When working in these conditions,
it is of the utmost importance for the operator to pay the greatest attention
when manoeuvring the machine.
4.12 SAFETY BELTS (where applicable)
Wear the safety belts when you use the machine with the safety frame (roll-bar
or ROPS) to reduce the risk of accidents if the tractor tips up.
Do not wear the seat belt if you use the machine with the roll-bar
in the horizontal position.
