3.2.5 How to capture eye steered images
Depending on the features available on your device, you may be able to capture eye steered images.
1. Position the patient, see How to prepare for image capture on page 36 .
2. Align the patient, see How to align the patient on page 37 .
3. Ask the patient to keep their head still in the standard alignment. Select
direction.
4. Ask the patient to look at the new alignment target, without moving their head. Align the scan head to
the eye steered alignment target. Make sure the patient can see the whole target, that the target is
green and that the cross hairs are close to the center of the pupil.
5. Capture the image either manually or using auto-capture.
Auto-capture : Auto-capture is enabled when it is set to
l
captures an image when the patient is correctly aligned. You can press the screen to
manually capture the image.
Manual capture : Align the scan head into the correct position. Press the screen to capture
l
the image when the pupil is in the center of the cross hairs and the patient alignment target
is green. You can also capture using the hand control.
6. Check the quality of the images, see What to do after the image is captured below .
3.2.6 How to capture stereo images
Depending on the features available on your device, you may be able to capture stereo pairs.
1. Position the patient, see How to prepare for image capture on page 36 .
2. Align the patient, see How to align the patient on page 37
3. Select the image modality and stereo pair options on the touch screen.
4. Select the first stereo image. The circles will move to the left. Align the patient to the first stereo
alignment target. Make sure the patient can see the whole target, that the target is green and that the
cross hairs are close to the center of the pupil.
5. Capture the image.
6. Select the second stereo image. The circles will move to the right. Align the patient to the second
stereo alignment target. Make sure the patient can see the whole target, that the target is green and
that the cross hairs are close to the center of the pupil.
7. Capture the image.
8. Check the quality of the images, see What to do after the image is captured below .
3.2.7 What to do after the image is captured
After you have captured the image, the image quality needs to be checked. You can then continue or complete
the session.
1. The captured image is displayed full screen on the touch screen. Return to the capture page by
pressing anywhere on the touch screen or any button on the hand control.
2. Check the quality of the captured image and, if required, continue capturing images.
3. From the preview screen you can change laterality or delete the image.
