Fitting instructions
1. Remove the reserve wheel attached below. Loosen the plastic covering between the bumper and body
work.
2. Remove the soundproofing layer at the attachment points, both on the inside and outside of the chassis
beams. The drillings provided in the chassis beams have been sealed with tape which has to be removed.
Insert the tubes on the left side (ref. 1) and the tubes on the right side (2) through the large openings in
the chassis beam. Align the mounting plates (3) on the inside of the chassis beam on the drillings
provided (A), then insert the bolts and screw them tightly.
3. Place the tow bar (B) between the mounting plates (3). If the margin between the tow bar and the
assembly plates (3) is too big, install the filling-up plates (4) and/or (5) between the tow bar and the
assembly plates (3). Insert the bolts and screw everything tightly (see tension).
4. Assemble the ball (see fig.1) along with the multiple socket holder (-p) and safety ring (-s), insert the
bolts and screw them tightly (see tension).
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
