4. Safety instructions
4.1 Safety instructions for driver and front passenger seat covers
Warning
Risk of death!
Correct initial assembly or attachment of the seat cover to the vehicle is
essential to guarantee the safety of the user. If the seat airbag is not in-
stalled correctly, it cannot be guaranteed that the seat airbag will eject
properly in the event of an impact.
→ Attach the seat covers as described in these operating instructions.
→ When attaching the seat covers, make sure that they are correctly assig-
ned (driver or front passenger seat cover). The side of the backrest covers
with the „airbag" patches on the side must rest on the backrest side with
the airbag label on your seat.
→ Under no circumstances may the cover openings be manipulated (no
covering, sewing or repairs yourself)
→ Reposition the seat covers if they are displaced or damaged. If this is
no longer possible due to advanced wear, the cover must be removed or
replaced.
→ On no account attach the seat covers if they are visibly damaged or
deformed.
→ Never manipulate, repair or sew the special side airbag seams on the
seat covers.
→ Headrest entries, backrest adjustment levers / wheels for backrest un-
locking or armrests must not be covered with the seat cover. Proper cut-
outs must be made. Please note the following mounting steps (point 5).
4.2 General safety instructions
Warning
Suffocation hazard!
When children play with the seat covers, they can get caught in them or
pull them over their heads and suffocate.
→ Do not let children play with the seat covers.
Note
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the seat covers can damage the seat covers.
→ Never place the seat covers on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stove tops).
→ Never expose the seat covers to high temperatures or the elements
(e.g. rain).
For removing and installing the headrests, please refer to the manufactu-
rer's information for your vehicle.
5. Mounting instructions
Covering the headrest
Roll up the cover like a sock and put it over the headrest. If the material is not
A
elastic, the cover may be a little more difficult to put on. To do this, it is advisable
to clamp the headrest between the thighs or to take a second person to help.
TIP: Take the headrest from the original seat (if possible). The attachment of the
headrest varies from vehicle to vehicle. Read the operating instructions for your
vehicle or ask at your car workshop.
Covering the armrest
If your vehicle is equipped with an armrest, remove the armrest from the original
B
seat before covering the seatback.
TIP: The mounting of the armrest varies from vehicle to vehicle. Read the manual
4
of your car or ask your garage.
Roll up the armrest cover like a stocking and cover the armrest of the original
C
seat. If your new seat cover is covered with foam, covering the original seat will be
somewhat more difficult.
Covering the front seats
Covering the backrest
Roll up the backrest of your new seat cover like a sock and cover the backrest of
D
the original seat. If your new seat cover is covered with foam, covering the original
seat will be a little more difficult.
Pull a flap through between the seat and the backrest or fix it between the back-
rest and the seat part if the flap cannot be pulled through completely.
Pull the flap between the seat and the backrest and fix it using the zip or hook and
E
loop fastener on the back of the front seat.
Make sure that all cut-outs are in the intended place. All the necessary openings,
F
such as for the headrests or the side lever, are already pre-punched and fit per-
fectly.
TIP: Additional levers (e.g. for lumbar support of optional equipment) should be
removed before fitting. After removing the lever, fit the seat cover, make a small
opening (e.g. with a screwdriver) and refit the lever.
Slide the recesses for the headrest under the holder. Now the headrests can be
G
refitted.
Covering the seat part
Place the seat part of the cover on the seat surface of your car seat and smooth
H
everything down. Hook the rubber loops with hooks under the seat.
TIP: Due to the plastic trim on the front seats, some of the seat side panels are of
different lengths. If the length of the side sections appears to be incorrect, please
check whether the covers for the seat surfaces or backrests have been have been
swapped. If your front seat has plastic panels, make sure that the seat cover is
placed between the seat and the panels and not over the panels.
Tighten the rubber loops in the rear part of the seat surface not towards the cen-
tre of the seat, but outwards or backwards.
Covering the rear seat
Covering the bench
Lay the seat part of the cover on the seat of your bench and smooth everything
I
out.
Then attach the cover to the underside and back of the bench using rubber loops
J
and hooks. Do not stretch the rubber loops in the rear part of the seat towards
the center of the seat, but outwards or backwards. The seat cover is made to
disappear under the trimmed part of the seat.
Covering the backrest
Roll up the backrest section like a sock and cover the backrest of the original seat.
K
If your new seat cover is covered with foam, covering the original seat will be a
little more difficult.
Pull the elastic bands between the seat and the backrest and fix them with the
L
hooks on the back of the backrest.
Make sure that all cut-outs are in the intended place. All the necessary openings,
M
such as for the headrests, are already pre-punched and fit perfectly. Slide the
headrest recesses under the bracket.
Now the headrests can be refitted.
N
Your cover does not seem to fit correctly?
The edges of the original seat must match the side seams of the cover. If it doesn't,
adjust it. The final adjustment to the shape of your backrest takes place after you have
used the cover for a few days.
6. Cleaning
Pay attention to the textile care symbols on the sewn label.
7. Disposal
The seat covers can be disposed of with the residual waste.
Dispose of the packaging according to type. Dispose of cardboard and cardboard as
waste paper and foils in the recyclable material collection.
