insert the backwash valve for exhaust air
operation.
Always fix the cooker hood above centre of
the hotplates.
Minimum distance between electric
hotplates and lower edge of the cooker hood:
600mm, Fig. 1 .
The installation of the vapour exhaust
hood, at a minimum distance of 700 mm —
Fig.1 — is permitted above gas cooking
devices only when the following rated heat
loads (HU) are not exceeded:
• Gas cooker
Load of one hotplate
Load of all hotplates
Load of the oven
• Gas cooking hobs
Load of one hotplate
Load of all hotplates
• Gas glass-ceramic hotplate
The data on rated heat loads do not apply
for gas glass-ceramic hotplates. Be sure to
observe the instructions of the hotplate
manufacturer.
• The particular valid installation regulations
and the installation instructions of the gas
appliance manufacturer must be observed.
The smaller the distance, the greater the
possibility that drops can form underneath on
the cooker hood from rising steam.
It is permitted to install the cooker exhaust
hood above a fireplace for solid fuels with
potential fire hazards only if the fireplace has a
closed nonremovable covering and the
regulations for the specific state are observed.
This limitation does not apply to gas cookers
and gas cooktops.
