Note: During this operating mode, the circulation pump would start to work although the storage
tank is out of water. This may damage the pump through running dry!
The control of a reverse osmosis unit as automatic refill is only recommended for very big aquaria
with a refill requirement of at least 10 to 20 litres of water.
Operating mode of the aquaniveau I with two float switches
Connect both float switches to the sockets sensor 1 and sensor 2. Put the changeover switch in
position 1.
The switch „sensor 2" marks the minimum water level in the refill tank. It should be fixed in a
way that it switches off before the pump sucks air. The LED „sensor 2" goes out.
If water is filled into the storage tank, the LED „sensor 2" and „output" light up and the pump
will be released to start. Now, the switch I regulates the water level in the filter as described above
(operating mode with one float switch).
aquaniveau II
The version aquaniveau II is designed as minimum/maximum controller and works with two float
switches. It is used to keep the water level in a tank at a specified limit.
The aquaniveau II is often used for pure water tanks in reverse osmosis units because the water
level must be kept at a specified limit to always ensure the storage of sufficient osmosis water. To
avoid the switching at each taking out of water and to receive a minimum working time of the
reverse osmosis unit, the level controller works with two probes marking a maximum and a
minimum water level.
Operating mode of the aquaniveau II
This version is a minimum/maximum control. It only works with two float switches.
Connect the unit to power and the LED „power" lights up. Put the changeover switch in position
2.
The „max" switch/probe (sensor I) is mounted in the tank so that it marks the desired
maximum water level.
The „min" switch/probe (sensor II) is mounted in the tank so that it marks the minimum water
level. If the tank is filled up, the LED's „sensor 1", „sensor 2" and „output" are illuminated. If
this is not the case, the floaters have to be turned up as described at aquaniveau 1. If the
water level drops, firstly the „max" switch runs dry and the LED is switched on. If the "min"
switch drops down as well and the LED is switched on, the solenoid valve of a reverse osmosis
will be activated and the tank will be filled up to the desired maximum water level.
