DISPLAY LIGHT
The display light illuminates any time a button is pressed and the raio
EXTERNAL ANTENNA SOCKET
The e
antennas and advanced performance shortwave antennas using a 50
or 75-Ohm coaxial cable feed-line or to a long wire antenna. When
using a 50 to 75 Ohm feedline for shortwave, it may be necessary to
attenuate the signal using an antenna tuner or other method.
STEREO/AM: W/N BUTTON
When listening to FM stations this button selects stereo, 'S', or
monaural, 'N'. Select stereo when using earphones. When not using
earphones, it's OK to leave it on stereo. In either case, if the FM signal
is poor, selecting mono may improve it. When this is turned on 'S'
appears in the display.
When listening to AM or shortwave use this button to go into narrow
(4Khz) or wide (6KHz) filtering mode as necessary. When narrow
filtering mode is used, 'N' appears in the display.
REAR FOLDING STAND
Pull the folding stand from the rear of the G4 and lean the G4 on it.
This allows viewing at a comfortable angle.
