Fitting instructions for Electro-set 201.617
Electro-set for trailer coupling, 7-pole, 12 Volt, as per ISO 1724
Contents: 1 Line set, 8 leads, with pre-assembled socket insert
1 Socket casing with switchoff contact for rear fog light
1 Protective body for plug insert
1 Trailer signaling monitor
1 Signal transmitter
3 Screws M5 x 35
1 Screw M5 x 12
4 M5 nuts, self-locking
3 M5 washers
2 Sheet screws 2.2 x 9.5
8 Cable ties, 140 mm long
1 Cable tie, 300 mm long
General Preparations:
1. Disconnect earth line from battery.
2. Create duct for line set.
3. Attach 8-lead line set and socket.
4. Test function.
1. Disconnect earth line from battery
For safety reasons and to avoid short circuits during installation, it is imperative that the earth line be
removed from the battery (fire hazard)!!
Disconnecting the battery can result in lost data! Observe manufacturer's instructions!!
2. Create duct for line set
Lift trunk floor cover and remove spare tire, jack and panel from back section of trunk.
Release left trunk panel and fold back, remove right trunk panel.
At a suitable, even spot left on the rear-closing sheet metal, in the place of the removed jack,
provide a hole 30 mm in diameter, deburr, treat with anticorrosive agent and let dry.
