Make sure to use Caffi taly System descaler, which is designed to respect the machine's
technical characteristics, in full compliance with consumer safety. The descaler must
be disposed of according to the manufacturer's instructions and/or the regulations in
force in the country of use.

with eyes, skin and machine surfaces.
Do not turn the machine off and do not raise the lever during descaling. A person
must be present during the operation.
Do not use vinegar: it could damage your machine!

Turn the machine off, unplugging it (Fig. 13).
•
Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and drip-tray (Fig.6).
•
Remove and empty the water tank (Fig.5).
•
Mix the contents of a Caffi taly System descaler bottle with about 750 cc. of water (total 1
litre) and pour into the tank.
•
Raise the lever to open the capsule compartment (Fig.1).
•
Insert the cleaning capsule supplied, pressing it gently inside (Fig.2).
•
Close the lever fully (Fig.3).
•
Remove the drip-tray (Fig.14).
•
Place a container (at least 500 ml) under the dispenser (Fig.15).
•
Plug the appliance in to switch it on (Fig. 13), and press the buttons A and B at the
same time within 5 seconds.
•
Button B is lit up, whereas the indicator light E blinks alternately YELLOW and RED.
•
Press button B to start the descaling cycle.
•
The machine dispenses the descaling solution at intervals (5 dispensings with a
4-minute pause between each, for a duration of about 25 minutes). During this phase,
when the buttons must not be pressed, indicator light E blinks alternately YELLOW
and RED.
•
If the container fi lls up, empty it.
•
When the fi rst phase is complete, the machine beeps and button B lights up. The water
tank is empty.
•
Carefully rinse out the water tank and refi ll it with fresh water (Fig.4).
•
Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and the container used and put them back
in place (Fig.15).
•
Press button B to start the rinse cycle.
•
The machine dispenses rinse water (about 500 ml). During this phase indicator light E
blinks alternately YELLOW and RED.
•
When the rinse cycle is completed, the machine beeps and buttons A-B-C-D blink
simultaneously, the machine is heating up
•
When buttons A-B-C-D light up steady, the appliance is ready to use.
•
Raise the lever to eject the cleaning capsule into the special drawer (Fig.1).
•
Carefully empty and rinse out the water tank and refi ll it with fresh non-carbonated water
(Fig.4).
•
Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and put it back together with the drip-tray.
